Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr.
International Presiding Prelate & Senior Bishop

Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr., D.Min. serves as the Senior Bishop of Mt. Calvary Holy Church of America, Inc.  He was appointed in August of 2008, by Senior Bishop Emeritus Harold I. Williams after an eight-year appointment as Vice-Bishop. Prior to his appointment as Vice-Bishop, he served two years as 2nd Vice-Bishop. Bishop Owens is the founder and senior pastor of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church in Washington, DC, which also serves as the organization's International Headquarters. He is the husband of Evangelist Susie C. Owens, who serves as his Co-Pastor. 

He has also been privileged to serve as the Dean of the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops since the year 2000. In addition, Bishop Owens serves as Adjunct Professor at Howard University School of Divinity, where he teaches classes in the field of Homiletics and Church Leadership and Administration.

Co-Pastor Susie C. Owens
International First Lady

Co-Pastor Susie Owens serves MCHCA as First Lady.  She accepted the position of International First Lady after Bishop Owens’ appointment to Senior Bishop.  She has been in the ministry for over forty years during which time she has traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as abroad.  Her unique presentation of the gospel has enabled her to minister to many denominations and organizations and as a result she is a much sought after preacher, teacher, leader, and counselor.  Moreover, her gift has made room for her, allowing her to minister on national platforms to tens of thousands.   

As the International First Lady, she oversees the women’s activities on a national level while finding creative ways to empower women spiritually.  Locally, Co-Pastor Susie serves alongside her husband in ministry at Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church, Washington, DC.

Bishop Hansel H. Henry
Executive Vice-Bishop

Bishop Hansel H. Henry serves as Executive Vice-Bishop.  Before his 2008 appointment, he served as the 2nd Vice-Bishop for eight years.  Bishop Henry served as the International Treasurer for the organization from 1998 until 2001.  He has held the senior pastorate of several Mount Calvary local assemblies including Mount Calvary Holy Church in Columbus, Ohio, from 1972 until 1983, and New Calvary Temple in Baltimore, Maryland, from 1983 until the present.  He is the husband of Evangelist Deloris Henry, who serves as his co-pastor. 

As Vice Bishop and Vice President of the organization, Bishop Henry performs the duties of the President  removed.  He also performs other duties as assigned by the President. 

 

 

Deacon Dwight Ellard

Deacon Dwight D. Ellard has served as the organization's International Treasurer since August of 2001.  Since 1991 he has also served as the Chief Administrator of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church in Washington, D. C. He is the husband of Mrs. Tammy Ellard. 

As International Treasurer of the organization, Deacon Ellard is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the General Treasury under the instruction of the Senior Bishop.  He monitors the in-flows and out-flows of the organization and makes annual reports of the church's financial status to the Executive Board of Bishops and the General Assembly.   

 

Bishop T. Cedric Brown
General Secretary

Bishop T. Cedric Brown has served as the General Secretary of the organization since 2001.  Prior to his appointment as International Secretary, Elder Brown served several years as Assistant International Secretary. He also serves as the Associate Pastor of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church in Washington, D. C., a position he has held since January of 2000.  He is the husband of Elder Bobette Brown. 

As International Secretary, Elder Brown is responsible for keeping accurate and complete minutes of the proceedings of the International Holy Convocation.  He also keeps a valid record of the Executive Board of Bishops' meetings and performs clerical duties as may be assigned.   

 

 

Pastor James Sturdivant

J.E. Sturdivant serves as the International Evangelist of the Mt. Calvary Holy Churches of America.

This preacher-teacher-author unashamedly proclaims the Gospel with an anointing that has revolutionized the lives of people worldwide. J.E. Sturdivant’s sterling reputation for delivering an “in-season” Word has opened doors for him to preach and minister throughout the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa. He has been gifted with the unique ability to crystallize Biblical concepts in a way that effectively reaches all people, regardless of their walk in life, the level of their pain, or the hopelessness of their situations.

J.E. Sturdivant’s preaching ministry has also taken the airwaves by storm. His critically acclaimed television broadcast—Eyes of Faith—has been a source of inspiration to millions throughout the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and New York State. He has been a regular contributor of Biblical insights on several Gospel radio broadcasts.

Besides an earned degree in Religious Studies, he maximizes his gifting by taking several courses in psychology, sociology, and theories in human behavior; and obtained his Master’s Degree in Religious Studies in May, 2007. J.E. Sturdivant and Co-Pastor Pamela D. Sturdivant celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in September of 2008. This powerful ministry couple reside in Maryland and are the proud parents of four adult children.

 

Pastor Tejado Hanchell 
National Youth & Young Adult President

Rev. Hanchell serves as the National Youth & Young Adult President for the Mount Calvary Holy Church of America, Inc. His responsibilities include hosting the organization’s annual National Youth & Young Adult Convention and helping to develop the future leaders of the organization.  

Rev. Hanchell was elected to serve as the fourth Senior Pastor of the historic Mount Calvary Holy Church in Winston-Salem, NC – “The Church Committed to Do MORE.” Under his leadership, the church has experienced growth and renewed fervor. Rev. Hanchell attributes much of his ministry success to the training he received under his spiritual parents, Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr. and Co-Pastor Susie C. Owens of Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Washington, DC. 

 

Min. Kristel M. Woodhouse
Youth and Young Adult Department Vice President

Kristel serves as the Vice President of the Youth and Young Adult Department of Mt. Calvary Holy Church of America, Inc. Her responsibilities include hosting the organization’s annual National Youth & Young Adult Convention with the President and helping to develop the future leaders of the organization.  

Kristel M. Woodhouse, a native Washingtonian, is a product of the District of Columbia Public School system and Archbishop Carroll High School.  Her academic pursuit was furthered at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA., where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in May 2002.  Kristel decided to stop pursuing her dream for her life and fulfill her true purpose by joining her parents in ministry. As a result, she received a M. Div. from Howard University School of Divinity in Washington, DC in May 2005. 

Kristel was born to Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr. and Co-Pastor Susie C. Owens on May 14, 1980.  Her parents, together, pastor the Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church in Washington, D.C.  Presently, Kristel Woodhouse works on staff at Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church as the Executive Assistant to the Co-Pastor; manager of the Events Department and a member of the Executive Staff and Trustee Board of the church. She also serves as Executive Director of IMPACT, which is an Innovative Movement Producing Anointed Christian Teens. In addition, Kristel Woodhouse is a member of the PK Connection, Inc.  This is an organization that ministers to preacher’s kids and hosts conferences and meetings that address the unique needs of preacher’s kids.   

In her spare time, Kristel Woodhouse enjoys shopping and spending time with her husband, Andrew Woodhouse. Together, they are the proud parents of one son, Kaiden Andrew.

 

Elder Cornelius Young
International Minister of Music

Elder Young is the International Minister of Music and operates the Worship & Arts Ministry. His responsibilities include ensuring that music is prepared for all MCHCA events. In addition, Elder Young plans and hosts the organization's annual Music & Worship Arts Conference.

Young is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina where he was born to the late Robert Young, Sr., and Frances D. Boyd. Cornelius’ educational matriculation has graduated him from North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, N.C where he received a B.A. degree in the study of vocal performance. Cornelius has taught at the university level as an adjunct professor at the Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. where he was the director of the Gospel Division. Through a scholarship from the Seaman’s Foundation he studied abroad and performed for thousands in large auditoriums and cathedrals.

Elder Young's  professional career has afforded him the opportunity to work with some of the top names in the music industry. He is a published writer with selections recorded on the Full Gospel Mass Choir’s recording “Bow Down” and Rodney Bryant and the Christian Fellowship Community Choir’s recording “He’s a Keeper”.

Young Currently resides in District Heights, Maryland and serves as Minister of Music at the Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Washington, DC. He also serves as Musical Director for Susie C. Owens Ministry where he serves as her personal musician. Be blessed through the ministry of this man of God.
