Executive Summary
The ever increasing globalization and rapid changes in our society has positioned the Mount Calvary Holy Church of America, Inc. (MCHCA) with unique opportunities to be thought leaders in the growing need to evangelize the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As our organization continues to grow and as we anchor ourselves deeper in the Word of God, we must also be cognizant of the many cultural, ethnic, generational, governmental, regional and global dimensions in which we are now called to minister. The paramount need in 21st Century Christendom will be for leaders who understand these dimensions and are able to engage and navigate unfamiliar and changing terrain. MCHCA has the opportunity to become an influencer of major global courses of action as we “speak truth to power” and engage in crucial conversations through collaborative leadership. As a body of believers, we seek to leverage the many national and international venues and platforms that have been created by our leaders to assist in facilitating the accomplishment of the vision that has been given to them by God. Thus, the International Education, Training and Development Committee is embarking upon the imperative journey to create the infrastructure and expand the mindset of MCHCA leaders and parishioners so that each is able to continuously add to their faith, the vital education, knowledge and skills necessary to become a dynamic force in 21st Century Christendom. It is our goal to create an environment of continuous learning so that each of us is able to explain the “hope” that we hold so dearly whether in corporate boardrooms, the streets of the urban and rural areas or in the fevalias of Brazil. To accomplish these ends, we will identify the need for, and develop or acquire state of the art Christian based education and leadership developmental programs that will assist each leader and parishioner in becoming effective in their local church and in becoming a major force in the growing evolution of MCHCA. Each training or developmental program will contain a series of specific learning objectives and competencies that are expected to be learned by each participant. These training and developmental programs will eventually cover the entire lifecycle beginning with the time that a new member or leader enters MCHCA. Learning folders will be used to track the progress of participants, especially leaders and over time a network of service providers will be established so that local colleges, universities and other institutions can be leveraged to assist in achieving our goal. As the technological framework for MCHCA is build out, automation will be heavily used to create a virtual environment for planning, and completing training and development as well as maintaining records. As we proceed, we will coordinate our efforts with the Bishop of Education and other International Directors as appropriate. We will be guided by the Holy Writ at 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” By doing so, we hasten the day when all that flows form MCHCA will be for the healing of the World. Amen.
